Cataract - LASIK - Refractive Surgery in Virginia

I would highly recommend Eye Care and Surgery for any and all of your eye care. Each and every professional is personable, qualified and caring. I had complete confidence in Dr Eng recently for cataract removal. He and his staff prepared me thoroughly for the procedure and expectations.

I have taken my eye sight for granted all my life and haven’t taken care of them the way I should have. Then one day I wake up and can’t hardly see. Doctor Driscoll and staff I don’t know all the names took care of me and helped me with my eyesight issue. They were friendly and very helpful. Besides all that they were honest with me and real. I didn’t feel looked down at or judged because I hadn’t really been taking care of my eyes even when I really didn’t follow the doctors directions the first time I had my eye sight issue and once the problem went away I didn’t follow up with appointment. Until the problem happened again a month later. This time I followed directions and they fixed the problem and saved my eyesight.

Took my mom here to have cataract surgery very nice staff doctors are very great also clean and nice place recommend them if you want a great place to get your eyes checked and have to have eye surgey like them alot 🙂

My husband and I both saw Dr. Schaubach and we both had a great experience,she was very informative and answered any questions we had,the staff was very polite from the front desk to our exams. I would recommend this office to my family and friends.

Dr Coolbaugh is the best and knowledgeable.

Came in today for my husband's appointment. Lisa was so helpful, and I said to my husband it was the most thorough eye exam I have ever seen. She was friendly and kind and took the time to answer all questions we had. After Lisa, we were helped by Dr. Sealander who was just as awesome. She has a great sense of humor and answered so many questions. Plus, she wears a fanny pack which is amazing honestly. We will definitely be back!! :)

Dr Thompson and staff are efficient, friendly and professional. Everyone I encountered was smiling, happy and attentive. Dr Thompson performed a thorough eye exam. I highly recommend Eye Care & Surgery!

The medical staff are wonderful in general, but Sarah Downey is just outstanding in every way. Smart, warm, patient, caring. She took such great care of us for my mom's cataract surgeries, no matter how many questions we had, and worked with us to accommodate our requests and followed up promptly. She gave us so much peace of mind, and our experience just would not have been the same without her. Not to take away from Sarah, but Chandler is another gem. She made us feel really comfortable and put as at ease and is just a pleasure to talk to. Just lovely! Thank you so much to you both!

I stopped by the Botetourt office today to schedule an appointment. I was assisted by Samantha at the front desk. She was a great help. She was able and eager to answer all of my questions. She even checked on my insurance coverage and this gave me peace of mind. I am looking forward to my appointment. I also looked at frames and received help immediately. Pat, Sarah Smith and Dr. Boothe were beyond phenomenal! They took me in right away despite having a full schedule since I was advised to go to the ER by another establishment. They calmed my fears and let me know that my diagnosis was less severe than anticipated. Thank you so much for your professionalism, kindness and outstanding care!

Excellent Experience!

The staff here are excellent! Pat and Sarah Smith were amazing helping my husband when he showed up with an emergency.

From the time I made an appointment to walking out the door after my appointment, it was such a pleasant experience. I can't say enough about the care of everyone I was in contact with.

This is my second year with Eye Care & Surgery, and I have to say that I've no complaints at all with the staff or Doctor Schaubach. Everyone I encountered was happy, smiling and attentive. I enjoyed my visit once again and highly recommend them, which I did to my neighbor and she looks forward to her visit next month.

Not understanding the negative comments - I have gone to many high end specialist all over the USA for family members so am keen to have answers. I was very worried with the symptoms I had. They got me in SAME day. 5 min wait, great tech before doc. Dr. Cool was confident and explained things to make sense. Back in a month for follow up. Glad I found them!! Highly recommend

I've been here a few times. All the staff is great and friendly. They are always very helpful and professional. Great customer service. Talk to Alice when picking out glasses. She's is ah-mazing!

I had a great experience! They were able to fit me in because of a cancellation. I got back quickly once checked in by the friendly receptionist staff. Logan was sweet and patient while assessing my vision. Dr. Schaubach and her assistant were polite and professional. I was even able to take my printed prescription with me. Thanks all! :)

The Botetourt office is nice and the doctors are professional . The problem seems to be they overbook . The last couple times I’ve been there , I’ve had to wait a long time . I understand patient issues arise but my time is valuable . They should build in some openings to account for issues .

The times I had to call with a problem. I was given an appointment for the problem that day or early the following day. Professional and personal staff that explain the process and test. I appreciate the friendly and professional attention i receive .

Great place Great doctor But it takes it very very long time To get your glasses So far I've been waiting a month And haven't got my glasses yet Hopefully I hear something about it this week...

The doctors that I have had contact with here are very caring about you. They take the time to explain your condition to you in ways that you can understand. Polite helpful staff.

This group is just awesome! The level of customer care especially from the gals at the Electric Rd office is off the charts. They are kind, responsive and thorough. My first eye exam with Dr. Driscoll was like none I have had in Roanoke or Salem. She goes the extra mile and she listens. I am very happy I am in her care now. This group is not out to just sell you glasses or get you a surgery, they really CARE about their patients eyes. I wish they could teach Carilion a lesson or two in human kindness! I was referred here by several very happy people and I thought it only fair I pass if forward.

Eye care provided is top notch. However, the back office could use some process optimization. Filling out redundant forms - with SSN. Hopefully they shred those papers if you actually provided them with your SSN. Average appointment time for me is usually two hours from check in to leaving the premises. Having to pick up your eyeglass Rx from the embedded optometrist is also inconvenient. It’s another point where you need to wait for somebody to take a piece of paper off the printer. Just print the Rx at checkout.

They are caring and very good at their profession.

Dr. Schaubach and Dr. Eng and their teams have helped me see fine details such as minute characters on smart phone key board to the bottom line of the eye chart. They have been very patience with me over the years and listened. I'm very pleased with my results.

Dr. Thompson saw me on an emergency basis and quickly diagnosed the issue, and developed a treatment plan. Professional highly trained friendly staff.

2 weeks ago Dr. Bradley literally Saved my life, had Dr. Scott Mann not sent me here I Wouldn't be alive today ❣️ Dr. Bradley and his team found the the recent Eye Stroke in my Right immediately sending me to Roanoke Memorial hospital .

I am SO thankful for the staff at Eye Care and Surgery! I am relatively young, at least in needing cataract surgery. The staf was professional and caring, answering my questions about the whole process. I chose the laser option and went with monovision lenses, one eye for distance, and one eye for reading. The change in my everyday life is amazing. I had difficulty reading, even with strong reading glasses before surgery. But, thanks to Dr Eng and his staff, I can see very well, and do things I wasn’t able to previously. I am so thankful for each of you! You truly are God’s hands on this earth! You have made such a difference in my life. Thank you!!!!!

Dr Eng and his crew are a very professional staff who treated me with not only great skill but caring and compassion as I went through surgery on both eyes always checking. before and after to make sure I was comfortable and was not having issues would highly recommend to anyone needing eye care

Great staff. Very knowledgeable regarding eye diseases. Great with children also. Will never go anywhere else!
